As creative lead of Branded Content at Pulse Films, Rose lead the company’s winning pitch to re-launch C4’s short film show, Random Acts.

Channel 4’s Random Acts strand, which showcases short films by visionary artists and filmmakers, has been running since 2011. In 2015, the channel decided that rather than peppering the schedule with isolated shorts, they wanted to consolidate them into into a 30-minute digest. Rose was the creative director of branded content at Pulse Films at the time, and lead the company’s pitch-winning creative proposal for a presenter-lead entertainment format. She felt strongly that the series should reflect the visual richness and humour of the shorts themselves. The dry, playful tone and pop-y art direction of the show’s final iteration (hosted by Eric Wareheim) was central to the initial creative.
